Occupation: Full time super mom, also happen to be an awesome machine operator and medical instrument tech.


What is your athletic background? None. Just regular activities as a child with friends and school.

What was your workout routine prior to CF Spero? I was attending bootcamp classes daily for about a year or so. I was looking for something to do and it just happened to be close to my job.

How much weight have you lost since you began? I go up and down depending on my diet. But I can say I’ve lost at least a solid 8-10 lbs. Along with that I’ve also gained some muscle and gotten stronger.

How has CrossFit influenced your mental health? I’ve noticed I’m able to focus more. Able to achieve things I would think I could not. Very aware of my diet choices even though they may not always be the best.

How has CrossFit impacted your physical health? When I commit to my diet with the combination of CrossFit I noticed I’m able to sleep more. Physically I am stronger and more energetic.

What positive changes have you noticed in your life since starting CrossFit? I have gotten slightly stronger with my core exercises but I know I have a lot of work to do. I have a more restful nights sleep. I have noticed more muscle definition and as I’ve improved and gotten stronger I feel more confident in myself and not afraid to try new things or workouts.

What was your first experience with CrossFit? My first experience was when I was curious and walked into Spero and met Dave for the first time. He recommended to try and signup for the OnRamp class. It was hard and confusing but gave me a glimpse as to what lied ahead. Two years later and I’m still here.

When did you start CF? I joined the awesome Spero Crossfit in September of 2016.

Why did you choose CF Spero? I have heard great things about CrossFit.  It wasn’t until the bootcamp gym I was going to closed that I started looking for other alternatives. After finding Spero less than a mile from home, I decided to come in and try it out. It also has a great schedule.

What keeps you coming back? I was hooked since my first introduction. Everytime im here there is a positive environment. I consider it me time. The members and coaches are great.

Where do you live and why? I live in Berwyn. I like the local community. There is always something to do, something going on. I have friends and family that also live close.

What do you do for a living? Besides being super mom I work for a medical equipment company

How do you like to spend your free time? Family. I enjoy spending time with them whenever I can, being with my kids and watching a good movie whenever possible.

What do you like about Oak Park? It’s a great community. Nice parks, activities, schools among other things

What are one or two improvements you have seen in your life since starting CF? I never really enjoyed breaking a sweat or exercising. I have gotten stronger and more confident in myself.  Some of the benefits with Spero is that they have other classes whether it is to improve your workout or how and what to eat. Through their food classes and Third party meal plans I have made healthier meal choices and tried and eaten things I didn’t like before.

What are your goals for 2018? I have a few but hopefully I’ll be able to properly do 5 unbroken double-unders. That would be my top priority.

What would you say to someone thinking about starting CF? Theress a first time for everything. Have an open mind and enjoy it as much as you can. Every workout can be molded to your needs and you can progress and improve from there. The coaches and members are great. Don’t be intimidated by the pictures. Once you start those plates only weigh 10lbs.

What’s your favorite and least favorite CF movement? I enjoy front and back squats, deadlifts and pushpress. I dislike boxjumps, burpees, OH squats but hopefully will improve on them soon.

What’s your favorite meal? I enjoy any breakfast. I would think the best would some really big crepes with cheese and fruit. I also love TACOS and tamales and basically any homemade mexican dish from Cuernavaca. Did I say I really love Tacos?

Anything else you would like to share with the Spero family? Just a thank you for the good vibes and healthy attitude from everybody from the coached and members.
